Now this feels more like home:

I like to think that I'm getting in touch with my cultural heritage - an Englishman's home is his castle, and all that, and what castle would be complete without a sword? (And yes, it is pointing to the left on purpose.) Speaking of which, I was very impressed by the Castle Builders website that I saw the other day, although the price tag is a bit out of my range at the moment...

The building work isn't quite finished here yet, but all the important stuff is now done. I've had the first installment of my flatwarming, by inviting a few other Croydon-ites round to play silly games, which was fun. Next installment probably not until January, if everyone is disappearing for Christmas soon.
