Well, I've now been with WeightWatchers for 7 weeks, and I've lost 6.7kg so far, which is just over a stone. Generally I prefer metric to imperial, but that's quite a nice milestone, and apparently it's equivalent to 11 pints of milk.

Meanwhile, my body fat levels are still fluctuating (around 23-24%), but I do seem to be staying in the "overweight" category (as opposed to "obese"), which is good; not ideal, but an improvement.

The website also offered me an inspirational quote:
Placing the blame is a bad habit, but taking the blame is a sure builder of character.

6.7 kgs in 7 weeks is very impressive. I've been meaning to ask - have you put on a lot of weight since the KCL days? Because you didn't look overweight then.

Yeah, I did put on weight after I last saw you; I think I'm now back at the same weight I was in September 2003. The main thing was last summer, when I was getting stressed/busy with the project and flat, and didn't have a functional kitchen, so I basically lived off takeaways for a few months.

That explains it. I'm trying to lose some weight, too - need to lose about 5 kgs. Any tips?
