I've just got back from watching "Just Like Heaven" at the cinema, which I really enjoyed. It's a sweet, charming film, which is genuinely heartwarming and moving, and I really was rooting for the characters in it. It's also very funny, and if you ignored the romantic aspects then it would work pretty well just as a sci-fi comedy (including a very familiar piece of music in the middle). I was a bit concerned that the trailer might have given away too much of the plot, but that turned out not to be a problem after all (i.e. that information was revealed fairly early on in the film, rather than being a big twist at the end). Since I've only seen it once, I don't know how well it will stand up to repeated viewings, but for now I'd say that it runs a close second to "While you were sleeping" as one of the best films in its genre.

I suppose that technically speaking, some people might consider this a "chick flick". But hey, I have no shame :)
