"sandwiches (two slices of bread, but cut diagonally into two sandwiches), 500ml Coke, a Yorkie bar, and a bag of Walkers Marmite crisps."

That really is quite an unhealthy lunch, you know. I'm not surprised it took lots of your points!

Sorry if you've already considered this and rejected it, but you might find snake_soup handy for improving your lunches and other meals. It officially starts on Wednesday, but a few people have started already.

Yeah, I know it's not exactly a salad, but it doesn't feel as if it should be up there at the "Roman banquet" end of the scale either, to be almost 3 meals worth! Ah well, I'll re-establish good habits.

I had a glance at snake_soup, but I don't think that trying out (subjectively) "weird stuff" at the same time as the diet plan is a good idea - that's more likely to make me fall back on what I know and like. I may join martinidiet though.

It's not just about trying weird stuff; only a few people are doing that sort of thing. A number of people seem to be picking "establish better eating habits" as their goal, which sounded a bit like what you're trying to do.
