I remember the film Demolition Man having an ad-jingle radio station as a throwaway gag... a much underrated movie, btw. Sandra Bullock showed such promise in it, it's a shame she spent the next ten years making pointless chick-flicks :-(

Ah yes, I'd forgotten about that. It's been a while since I saw that film, but it was quite good, and I sometimes find myself thinking back to it when I hear about proposed legislation. ("Anything that's not good for you is therefore bad, and therefore illegal.")

As for Sandra Bullock, I liked lots of the films she went on to make (particularly "While You Were Sleeping"), and for that matter the "chick flick" genre in general. Mind you, I've heard some good things about "Crash" (in the context of "critically acclaimed" rather than "I know people who've seen it"), and that sounds like a departure from her other roles. I thought she was ok in "The Net" too (not a chick flick, but not a particularly good film either).
