Another week, another 1 kg gone (2.2 lb). Which in turn means more nagging from the WeightWatchers website, but never mind; they do say elsewhere that you should expect to lose weight faster in the first three weeks, so I think their computer is slightly confused by the fact that I've been signed up for a year, but I've only been on this attempt for three weeks so far. On a more positive note, according to my scales I'm now just overweight rather than obese (24.3% body fat). I think those bands are more of a guideline than a rule, but it's still encouraging. I do still get cravings for a "fat bastard pizza" now and then, but I'm keeping temptation at bay so far.

On the wider topic of food, I think that I need to get a table to eat at, i.e. dining table height rather than a coffee table. One of the nice things about eating out (at the staff canteen, greasy spoon, Pizza Hut, or wherever) is that I do prefer sitting upright with the food in front of me, rather than eating off my lap. I guess that means I'm turning into a grown-up or something... However, I don't have space for a huge dining table, so I'll need to investigate some kind of folding version.

There was also an interesting thing I saw on "Brainiac" recently, where they tested the well known fact that a tooth will dissolve in a glass of Coke if you leave it overnight. So, they dropped in the tooth, came back the next day, and ... it was still there. It had turned black, but it was still the same shape and size. Snopes have also debunked this. So, there you go, a new advertising slogan for them: "Coke - it tastes good, and it's not quite as bad for you as everyone thinks!"

I rearranged my lounge yesterday after having some people over and eating at the table that normally sits under the window covered in random crap. It now sits proudly in the main part of my lounge, easily accessible for eating use.

It really makes a difference not having to lean over a tiny table to eat.
