I'm now starting a pretty full week for SJA. Yesterday I spent most of the day working on the website, today I've been off to Whitgift school for a biathlon, on Tuesday evening it's the regular training slot, on Wednesday evening I'm doing my AED requal, on Thursday evening I'm on duty at a football match, and on Saturday I'm doing medical gases training. Still, I get Monday and Friday evenings off :)

Today's duty went pretty well, and it's the first time I've been to that school; I was impressed by the albino wallabies that they had! More generally (and probably repeating myself), I prefer running/swimming to football - they're competitive without being confrontational. I've heard that rugby players/fans tend to be better behaved, but I haven't done any of those duties yet. The weather was a bit erratic during the running: it was tipping down with rain in the first race, then fine for the next several, then hailing through a later race, and fine again for all the remaining ones. Slightly unfortunate for some of the runners...

Speaking of swimming, I went along to Holmes Place on Thursday evening, which is the first time I've been in a while. I'm going to try to establish a routine so that I do go more often, although that will have to be delayed for a week. Anyway, I've lost weight since I last went, which is good, but it also meant that every time I pushed off from the side of the pool I had to reach down and yank up my shorts to avoid mooning anyone who was behind me. So, time to go shopping for a new swimsuit, I think.
