Well, I can't complain that I have nothing to do... Last night I… - John C. Kirk

Well, I can't complain that I have nothing to do...
Last night I went off to see The New Statesman play (based on the Rik Mayall TV series from the 1980s) with billyabbott, easterbunny, aca et al, which was very funny. There were a few technical hitches (e.g. actors forgetting lines or lights not coming on at the right time), but it was a good night out, so I'd recommend it to anyone else who liked the original series.
Tonight was my regular swimming night with kukumavka, so I've earned my bonus WW points for the day. I've been trying to get the hang of spin turns (?), where you do a half-somersault against the wall rather than stopping and starting. I've now managed to do a complete somersault without getting water up my nose (the trick is to breathe out the whole time), but I'm still having a bit of trouble timing it so that I can kick off from the wall in the middle. Ah well, practice makes perfect.
This weekend I'm off to a craft fair (SJA duty) on Sunday. That runs from 10-6, and I need to be there at 9:30, so I'm glad we've got a bank holiday on Monday.
Next weekend, I'm (probably) doing SJA duty at Twickenham for the rugby game on Saturday, then covering a cross country run on Sunday, and hopefully fitting in a BBQ at some point.
In two weeks, I'm off to an RIGB lecture about consciousness/anaesthesia on the Friday evening, then I'm doing SJA training on Saturday (driving theory), and off to a Shakespeare play that evening ("Much Ado About Nothing").
Meanwhile, I'm accumulating quite a backlog on the Sky Digibox (e.g. I'm now 6 episodes behind on Charmed), so I think I can save myself a bit of money by cutting down on the number of channels I get. Well, either that or hire myself an Electric Monk :)
