I got the impression that the "angels" tended to keep to themselves unless they were specifically targetting someone, i.e. they didn't go on continuous rampages. That being the case, I'm not entirely confident that I could chisel through one before I had to blink, and I'd prefer not to be within arm's reach of a rather annoyed angel at that point...

As for the ending, I think you're right about the goal, but I interpreted it as "any of these innocent looking statues could be dangerous" rather than "all of them are", much like the risk of mannequins actually being Autons.

You could really get on their nerves by moving them around, turning them upside down, etc...

I'm surprised nobody thought of strapping a mirror to their faces (when they weren't covering them, obviously).

Well, there was that scene where the angels were perched on the side of a church, then moved to the side of the police station opposite. If someone had happened to look up just as they were in mid-air...

Heh - I'm now picturing a "pigeon flying splat into a window" scenario, which would make them seem slightly less threatening :)

If someone had been standing directly underneath, I wonder what would happen. If I happened to glance up, saw a statue plummeting towards me, then screamed and dived out of the way, I'd probably get strange looks from passers by given that the angel would no longer be there (as soon as I'd looked away). In a situation like that, would you doubt what you saw, or remain convinced that a statue had mysteriously appeared/disappeared in mid-air without anyone else noticing?

I suspect the act of you looking up and screaming would cause enough other people to look up as well that the angel would be stuck in its stone form and would just go tinkle tinkle crash.
