Today started ok - I was a bit late for college, but we've just started Astrophysics, which is interesting. Mind you, it seems a bit counter-intuitive that blue is hot and red is cold.

Unfortunately, had an accident on the motorbike on my way to work afterwards - slipped in the wet, and dropped the bike on its side. Fortunately, I was able to roll clear of it, so I came to a halt a bit quicker than it did. Unlike last time when I got dragged along the road underneath it... Admittedly, this had more to do with luck than reactions, but it means less pain, which is good. Mind you, I did still say a few rather rude words! I've gashed my knee, but apart from that I'm ok, thanks to Kevlar gloves. Must get some proper protective trousers soon. The bike's not too badly damaged, from a brief inspection - just lost one of my indicators. So, I got back on (on the horse riding principle), to go the last couple of miles to the office. I then dumped the bike there (well, left it parked in the car park), and got a taxi home, and I've been slumped here since.

On a more positive note, I've emailed a potential PhD supervisor at DOC, so with luck I'll get a reply from him.
