Follow-up to a previous entry - we're still recruiting, but now it's more money and less skills required.

"SQL Server DBA wanted for a small but quickly growing management consultancy. The successful applicant would be responsible for maintaining SQL Server 2000 servers, write SQL queries in response to client enquiries, DTS packages and database design. Some network administration may also be required. London. Salary up to £30,000."

so di dhte other partsof the job get filled or did they realise they really actaully wanted a DBA.

Well, we haven't hired anyone else since then, but we've spread out the various parts of the job around the IT department (e.g. I'm doing Exchange, and one of the other guys is doing the firewall). The "some network administration may also be required" line is a catch-all for things like tech support for end-users, but the main focus is now DBA stuff. However, I suspect that the job requirements may change again, depending on what response we get to this advert :)
