Tube strike

Due to today's tube strike, I had to make alternate travel arrangements. I looked on the TFL website, and their journey planner suggested that I should take a bus to Tottenham Court Road, then change for another bus up to north London. Hmm, I think that I'd prefer a route which doesn't go right into the centre! So, motorbike it is. I left here at 8:45, and by 10:30 I'd got 6 miles (about half-way into work). At that point I phoned in, found out that the office was pretty deserted (since lots of people were working from home), so they don't particularly need me. That being the case, I'm taking today off so that I can work on my project. It took me 20 minutes to get back home after that, which gives an idea of the traffic in different directions.

Ah well, at least I'm up and about now, whereas I might have had a lie-in if I'd pre-arranged to take the day off, so that's good.
